Cold-rolled hard-drawn wire
Cold-rolled hard drawn wire is manufactured in coils or straightened and cut to length and is available in diameters ranging from 1.60mm to 12.00mm. Wire produced from 4.00mm and heavier complies with SANS 1024:2006 and BS4482:1985 standard requirements. The proof stress of the wire is at least 485 MPa, with an ultimate tensile strength of 510 MPa. Light gauge wire is manufactured to BS1052:1980 specifications.
